Community Involvement

PrimeSource Credit Union is committed to our members and our community.  We are involved in our community through several programs and organizations that work for the betterment of our society such as: Credit Unions for Kids, Children's Miracle Network, Second Harvest of the Inland Northwest, Big Brothers Big Sisters, The Inland Northwest Blood Bank, and the American Red Cross.

Longest Day Walk
Throughout the Northwest, credit union professionals are involved in raising funds for the critically ill children served by the Children's Miracle Network hospitals in this region. On June 21, the longest day of the year,  PrimeSource employees and employees of many other credit unions in the Northwest came together for a three mile walk. The goal was for each walker to raise  $100 in pledges for the Children's Miracle Network. This year PrimeSource Credit Union had five employees participate, each of which received a T-shirt. Way to go  team! The children thank you!

Blood Drive
PrimeSource Credit Union held a blood drive at our Northpointe Branch on June 15th.  The Inland Northwest blood Mobile was stationed at the branch for the afternoon. We had a great turn out of staff, members, neighbors and friends.  Thank you to all who donated!

Bowl For Kids Sake
PrimeSource Credit Union staff participated in Bowl for Kids Sake 2007.  This wonderful community event helps raise funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters. Several credit unions from the Spokane area compete in this event each year. It was a fun filled day of bowling, pizza, and refreshments all for a great cause!

Credit Unions for Kids Chiefs Hockey Night
Each year Credit Unions for Kids team up with the Spokane Chiefs to raise money for the Children's Miracle Network.  March 9th was the annual Credit Union for Kids Chiefs Hockey Night.  PrimeSource volunteers worked hard selling autographed pucks, bracelets and hockey sticks to raise money for this special event.  Way to go PrimeSource the children thank you!

Winter FUN at PrimeSource Credit Union

PrimeSource Credit Union was busy, busy, busy during November and December.  PrimeSource hosted a fundraiser for C.O.P.S North Central.  C.O.P.S. is in need of funds to purchase the necessary equipment for their Operation ID Event.  An event that administers family identification kits.  With help from both members and staff PrimeSource raised $300.00!  Thank you to everyone who donated.

PrimeSource also partnered with the Inland Northwest Blood Center for our second blood drive of the year. The Blood Center Blood Mobile was located at our 3rd Ave branch on December 28th.  Thank you to everyone who helped put on this successful event.

Food & Cash Collected for Second Harvest Food Bank
Thanks to members of PrimeSource Credit Union who collected over $250 and three overflowing barrels of food during the months of November and December for the Second Harvest Food Bank. Rod Weaver, the representative from the Second Harvest of the Inland Northwest was overwhelmed by our members generosity.

International Credit Union Day
PrimeSource Credit Union celebrated International Credit Union Day on October 19th. Since 1948, ICU Day has been celebrated on the third Thursday of October. This day has been set aside to reflect upon the credit union movement's history and to promote its' achievements.  Here at PrimeSource we celebrated the day with refreshments in our lobbies, fun giveaways and a money jar!  Our members, Irene Huling and Ava Bowen each won a money jar. Pictured below is Irene Huling (left) and Ava Bowen (right).
